This was his birthday morning, Faron took this super cute picture of the kids, I don't know where Ari was when this was happening, but here are the rest of them.
Kola in his cute hat.
Xander got this Alligator hat from Sophia for his birthday. I took the girls to the store and let them shop for Xander, they had lots of fun picking out his presents, especially since I was paying :)
Our birthday party was supposed to be a beach party. We were going to swim at Watkins Mill, then come back to the house for bbq and our beach cake. Well, we got to the beach only to ready a sign that said "beach closed due to bacteria" So, a couple quick phone calls, then everybody came straight to our house, and we had Grammy and Pop run by the store and grab a pool, so we still got to swim. The kids had a great time anyway, I don't think Xander even had time to be disappointing.
Watermelon and Lemonade and cheese balls, no better pool side snack!

Here's Xander's birthday cake, in keeping with our beach theme that wasn't, it is a bucket of sand (cake) and sand castles (ice cream). It was still very yummy, even without the real beach.

We've started doing a gift exchange at our parties instead of all the kids friends bringing presents for the birthday kid, they bring presents to exchange. Then all the kids get a present and Xander doesn't end up with millions of toys :)
I think it worked pretty well, the kids had fun playing musical "chairs" (paper plates :) and if you lost, you got to pick your present. It made losing look like a pretty good option.

Xander got a king Peter outfit from Grammy and Pop, he put it on right away and didn't take it off for a long time. He loves a good sword.
Lane also loves a good sword and he was very happy for Xander to be getting this great costume, he helped him get it all on.

Kaleb is just so cute, I have to take pictures of him.
Xander and Isaiah played some sort of cheeto ball stealing game, I'm not sure exactly what they were doing but they thought it was hilarious!
After the party there was a camp out down in our field. With only one slight problem. It started raining as they were putting up tents and it NEVER stopped. The camp out still happened, but I don't have any pictures of it cause It was raining so much I never could get out my camera. The guys built a fire in the fire pit and we did make smores and hang out under the beach umbrellas. Rain doesn't bother kids too much. The Mamas and the babies slept in the house, but the big kids, dads and Grammy and Pop slept out in some serious rain and thunder storming. Xander stayed down there until actual sleep time, then it was all over for him. He was convinced that there was a snake getting into his tent (his air mattress was hissing) and Papa made him leave his sword at the house, so he was complety unarmed, he was not happy and ended up coming up to the house to sleep. Everybody else slept all night out there and came back to the house at about 7:30, walking through the rain. They had fun though!
This is Xander in his new overalls that he asked Grandma and Grandpa for. Once it was time to set up camp, he changed from King Peter to Overall man, it was much more appropriate for camping.
