Mud

We have a spot in the back yard, it has no grass because it was where the little pool was last year. It likes to turn into a mud puddle when it's rainy. The kids like it when this happens.

One day I decided to let them go for it in the mud.
It started like this...



Once it goes beyond the feet and onto the body, it's all over








Princess Ari isn't a fan of getting dirty. She will sometimes, but this was a little much. She watched.


Phia and Xander have no such qualms.

Isabella enjoys spreading mud on others, and will get in it herself it is her choice.

The mud on her nose was not self inflicted. Not happy about it.





The game has gone beyond her boundaries (control) and it's not fun anymore.



Time to clean up and head inside. Unfortunately the hose water was way too cold for much clean up to happen outside, which made for a lot of clean up that had to happen inside, cleaning up kids, and then everything that the kids touched.








They thought the mess was very worth while. Faron was glad he was not home to see it, and I haven't gotten brave enough to let it happen again, yet ;)

We went to Iowa this weekend to attend a wedding and while the kids were all dressed up I got to take a few pictures of them. We went outside during the reception to run off some steam and the lighting was so beautiful. Dark and stormy on one side but bright and sunny on the other. It led to some pretty pictures.
