before bed on Christmas Eve the kids always get to open one present, a new pair of pj's. Unfortunately Xander had started throwing up by then so he was passed out on the couch. Somebody gave him his present, but he was not interested.

Kole was collecting everybody's jammies.
Then Ari helped me put his on him.
Xander did wake up for a few minutes and get interested in his present, he even put on his Lightning pajamas before passing out again.
Normally everybody is wearing those new pj's in all our Christmas morning pictures, looking new and cute. Not this year, because all 5 kids spent the night vomiting. so at some point during that night every kid had to be changed to a new outfit, and new bedding etc. It was a long night. I've never had all 5 throwing up at the same time.
Everybody also had a early Christmas morning bath before even coming down to check out the presents.
Thankfully by morning everybody was feeling better. Ari was still grouchy all day, but there was no more vomit. :)
Nikolas opening his stocking.
Stocking bounty (we did have to hold off on the stocking candy to make sure we were done with our stomach bug)
They each got these goblets in their stockings. (I like Xander's bath hair)
After stockings we took a breakfast break, and Xander moved the star on our advent calendar, so that it was officially Christmas.
Back to presents.
Xander was very excited with his new arsenal of weaponry.

Woody even got some sword fighting lessons. (which helped him feel better about himself later when Sophia played dress up with him, as you'll see)
Ari's cute huge puppy.
Made Faron a new hat :)

Another present break for some hot chocolate. Xander got to use the manly tea pot Faron got from Grammy.

I made all the girls purses for Chrismtas, I finished Ari's at about 11 pm Christmas Eve.
Here's Sophia's
and Isabella's, with her little kitty in it.
This is Ari's adorable new baby doll. It's soft and cute and looks like her. She named it Polly. I think that because she was so grouchy when she opened it, she got a bad attitude about poor Polly. Since Christmas I've asked her a couple times, "Ari, where's Polly, don't you want to play with her?" and she says "no, she's mean". I made Polly talk to her and explain that she wasn't mean, and wanted to play with Ari, and that worked once, Ari held her for a few minutes, but the next day she told me again that Polly was mean. Yesterday I told her I was pretty sure Polly was upstairs crying because Ari wouldn't play with her. Ari went up and got Polly, and informed me that she was NOT crying, but she did bring her down and play with her for a long time after that, so maybe she's decided that Polly isn't mean after all.
Sophia's doll is a topsy turvy doll, it is Cinderella first as a servant girl...
Then you flip her dress over and poof, she's a princess. I think it's very cool
I made Faron wait until the very end to open his big present. I've been patiently waiting for weeks to give it to him...
He was very surprised and excited to open a new Wii.
Then Xander was just as excited to open a game for it, Lego Star Wars
While all this boyness was going on, Sophia got ahold of Woody and Polly and first put Woody in a dress
and then made him dance around with Polly, while still wearing the dress. I just know Woody was trying to find his happy place and remembering the feeling of that sword in his hand.
After stockings and breakfast Nikolas had gone down for a nap, so he missed pretty much all the present opening action. When he woke up he got to open his presents.
Xander was happy to find that Kole had been given a Buzz to go with Woody.

Kole was happy to find that he got some toys with wheels, his favorite kind.

Xander and Faron snuck off to hook up the Wii, and play some star wars.
Koley enjoyed Ari's new broom and mop set, now he can stop stealing my real broom.
A toast to a lovely Christmas.
