The rest of Xander's Birthday

For the sake getting through his birthday, here's a really super long post!
After the park we went back to Grammy's house so Angie could do my hair :)
So, Xander opened his present from Grammy and Pop there, which was this Jango Fett costume, from star wars. It's super cool.

At some point Papa handed Isabella my camera, I can't remember why, but she ended up taking a lot of good pictures.
she posed several people over here by the wall, now put your hand here, ok...
Sunny even posed for her

She took some pics of Soph outside

The next morning was Xander's Birthday Birthday (not party day). He woke up to some kids ready to hand out presents!

He needed to get into costume first.

Kole enjoyed playing with the new cowboys and Indians while the present opening was going on

Gotta put on the awesome Star Wars shirt, sorry Jango

This bubble jet is pretty cool. When you pull the trigger the jet flies and leaves a stream of bubbles in it's wake.
It was very hard to catch a picture of the jet actually flying, I took about a million trying though.

Kole loved the bubbles. He gets them a touch close to his lips, but he can actually blow bubbles.

After Church Sunday we met one of our favorite church families (with matching kids) at the pizza place for a lovely birthday lunch

The boys gave him a bucket O Soldiers, perfect.
Then we headed to the spray park for some watery fun.

Lots of fun!

Xander's Birthday Celebration part 1

Well, Xander turned 5. He had a fun filled weekend of celebration, starting with his party at the park. We went to the Castle in St. Joe and played with *most* of his cousins.

Lane is an excellent climber.

The girls were already up there swinging away

The birthday boy playing in a big old puddle which was deposited the night before when a huge thunder storm came by. That storm also cooled our day down by about 15 degrees. It was still pretty hot though!
The blond babies in the puddle

Grammy's HERE!

Grandma didn't play in the puddle, but she did watch :)

Papa blew bubbles for the babies

Kole got the knack for blowing, though I think he also ate quite a few bubbles :)

Xander's cake was Star Wars, so he was reenacting a battle before Luke and Darth Vader went onto the cake.

While exploring the castle the kids were very disappointing that they couldn't open these locks and go inside to explore.

Isabella reading the sign that told us all that the castle use to be a restaurant. I don't know how many times I've been there and apparently never read that.

More water play

Lucas was a huge fan of the water

Cake time!

and mostly frosting

Kole stuck his arm in the frosting while I was passing out plates. Grandpa got him cleaned up, though that lovely food coloring stained his arm pretty good.

Happy Birthday to yooouuuuu!

Grammy was graciously pouring water down the backs of hot kids.

Presents!!

A lovely beginning to a birthday weekend!
