I *heart* Don Chaffer (Lori too)

I just downloaded the new Waterdeep album.
right now this is my favorite song, but that is subject to change, since I don't dislike any of them!

Good, Good End

You can leave right now
You can ring a bell
You can tell ‘em you think I ain’t doin’ too well
But when I stood like you
I eventually fell
So you can leave right now
Go on and ring your bell

I’m amazed by life
And it’s amazed by me
We’re a strange old pair- me and eternity
It don’t make good sense
It ain’t easy to see
But I’m amazed by life
And it’s amazed by me

It’s a long hard road
With a good, good end
And if I keep on walking on past the crooked bend
I will meet my Maker
I will meet my Friend
It’s a long hard road
With a good, good end

Dance Recital

Isabella and Sophia had their dance recital Saturday. It was very cute and they did a great job. They were both nervous but did well anyway. Isabella was very reserved on stage, but she still did the dance. Sophia was a hit with the audience, with her big smiles and actions.

Their tap dance is a hula dance and when Sophia did the hula she put her whole self into it!

These are some of the pictures I took before we went to the recital.
Isabella was very good with these pictures, I never even had to ask her to do anything, she was just all over the poses.

Psalm 18:20-24

I read this this morning, in the Message paraphrase and liked it.

God made my life complete
when I placed all the pieces before him.
When I got my act together,
he gave me a fresh start.
Now I'm alert to God's ways;
I don't take God for granted.
Every day I review the ways he works;
I try not to miss a trick.
I feel put back together,
and I'm watching my step.
God rewrote the text of my life
when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.

Father's Day weekend

We had a busy Father's day weekend! First we went to Maryville to visit Grandma and Grandpa.

Here are Lane and Alexander playing together, boys gotta stick together in this group of girl domination.

Isabella always wants to climb trees so she loved it when Grandpa put the ladder up to the tree and they all took turns climbing up and hanging on the branches. They did this for an hour probably!

Three little girl cousins. Ella caught a lady bug, so they were all looking at that.

All the Hopper cousins in one place!

Eating hotdogs that Grandma grilled.

For part of Faron's Father's Day present I got a hotel in St. Joe Saturday night. That way we could have our own celebration for him in the midst of our Father's day travels. We also got to have lots of fun in the pool. We swam Saturday night, and then again Sunday morning. Sunday Grammy and Aunt Lora came to swim with us too and the kids loved that.

Pop and Uncle Lou getting thier Father's day presents. This one was from Grammy, but she also included Alexander, because Alexander is the noticer of all shoes.

The girls were "helping" Aunt Lora put on her make-up, and since I never wear make-up, and Isabella is highly fascinated with it (and all fashion type things) they had a grand time.

ahhh technology

I can download pictures again!
So here they are :)

Isabella dressed Alexander for Church Sunday. I think he looks like a cool boy going to prom.

As I mentioned before, Arianna is everywhere. She's after that little green train.

ahhh sweet success!

She is 5 months old now!

issues

My computer ate my last batch of pictures, no biggie, I can recreate them, but I have nothing to post right now! I have to wait for a new "hub" before I can download any more. So, this is what I have for you, my faithful readers.

Alexander was playing with Arianna and wearing his cool new hat (actually it is Isabella's cool hat.

Arianna is now a mover and a shaker. She is all over the place all the time! She doesn't crawl yet, but she does scooch all over the floor on her knees and arms (like Sophia did), and sometimes on the back of her head (like Isabella did). She also now has command of her hands, so she chases down toys that are on the floor and then chews on them. Yesterday she chased a train piece all around the living room floor (since it kept rolling away from her) and when she would catch it she would shove it into her mouth.

Still More Cousins

We had a visit from our California Cousins, Hope and Faith. We all gathered at Grandad's house (we missed you Grandad - he's on vacation, so we just used his house :)
We had 10 kids there!

All the kids were from these 3 grandmas

Grammy brought this sprinkler and it was a huge hit! All the kids got in and it was big enough for them all to run around and have plenty of space. They were shivering cold, but no one wanted to stop. Alexander and Isaiah were both visably shaking but the didn't want to get out. Even when I had Alexander wrapped in a towel, still vibrating, he was saying, through chattering teeth, "more wawa, more wawa!"

Alexander and Nehemiah both loved this spot in front of the door. They were hanging out down there for a while, then Nehemiah started loosing it, as he was past due for a nap. So he stood at the door whinning and crying. After about 10 minutes Alexander put his arm around Nehemiah's back and started guiding him down the hall way saying "Mama, Mama" and didn't let go of him until he had safely delivered him to a mother figure.

Isabella and Sophia remembered that Grandad had Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dolls, so they looked around the house until they found them, then played in Grandad's room with them for a long time. Grandad gave Isabella a Raggedy Ann book for her birthday a couple years ago and she just started being into reading it, so she was excited to see those dolls.

Lots of fun with all those cousins!
