Super Xander

These are a few pictures from when we were at Grammy and Pop's a few weeks ago. Alexander apparently got tutu'd and Grammy took pity on him (and Faron) and moved it up to be a cape. That, of course was a big hit since boys are apparently born with the desire to be superheros, just as girls are born with the desire to be brides.
He had already been wearing these glasses for several days, and any pair of Grammy's shoes he could find, so the "cape" completed the outfit.
I have a picture of him engulfed in this same tutu when he was a few months old, he layed on the girls bed and rubbed in on his face until he fell asleep. It's very cute and I was going to put it here to compare, but apparently that was before I went digital with my pictures, so I don't have it, it's in a scrapbook though, so if you want to see it you'll have to stop by :)

Father's day/Pop's birthday

We celebrated Father's day and Pop's birthday at Gabe and Angie's house last weekend and the cousins got to play and play.
one of the main attractions , Baby Kaleb...Couldn't you just eat him up? He's so cute! (and naked, in the Buckner boy tradition)

No get together is complete without a dance performance and Isaiah was more than happy to be involved in this one.
Nehemiah preferred the fun game that happened before the dance started, when Isabella was setting up her "Stage" area and he (Nehemiah) would go mess it up, or, heaven forbid, sit somewhere he hadn't been instructed to sit. Then he would be tossed aside by Isabella, the stage manager, Nehemiah thought that was the whole point of the game, getting tossed, so he did it over and over.
Finally, a male dance partner!
Again with how cute he is!
I walked into the kitchen to see Isaiah like this. At first he thought he was in for it, but once he saw me take a picture he was pretty sure he was safe, so he kept on drinking.
Gabe rigged up a sprinkler/mister for the kids and they had a lot of fun playing outside for a while.

We had a lovely time!

The bathroom project

We spent all of last week at Grammy and Pop's house while Faron completely remodeled their bathroom. Faron did lots of hard work, the kids and I enjoyed lots of cable TV and air conditioning :)

I didn't quite get a beginning picture, but here is one after the old vanity and mirror came out.
Removing the shower and tub, you can see the new floor here too.
Faron was soldering some pipes and the kids were quite enthralled.
New tub is in and getting the walls ready for tile. Faron had a little helper for a while. Most of the time the kids were gated away from the bathroom but every once in a while one snuck through.
While I was taking this picture I asked Xander if he was helping Papa and he said, "I had Papa the nails. Papa hit him finger with the hammer and him say 'owwie owwie'".

New tub and floor, old toilet and sink are gone.
The new toilet sat in the living room until it could go to it's new home in the bathroom. One day Alexander decided to use this one instead of one that was actually hooked up. He thought it was a new convenience, hey, they put a toilet in the living room!
Getting the wanes coating ready.
this picture cracks me up cause it looks like Faron finally was overcome with that bathroom project. Day 5 proved to be too much. Actually he is putting down tape and getting ready to seal it up.
new vanity, sink, toilet, tub and floor!
walls around the tub are ready to be tiled, which will happen soon I hear.
Lots of work that week but the bathroom looks totally different!

Anna's Birthday Present

Now that Anna has finally received her birthday present from me, I can post pictures of it. I made her birthday cake (decoration) out of nesting hat boxes. When you stack the 3 of them up, it creates a layered cake, and it was oh so very cute. I knew Anna would appreciate it, being the decorating and celebrating type.

This frog on the top layer is my favorite piece :)
