Life

Our last 4 weeks have been pretty full. 4 weeks ago we got the call to come get Dalia, a week and a half later we got home with her. Since then Anna and the kids have been here so we've had lots of visiting and family get togethers.

A lot of our time is spent like this

Looking at this cutie girl

One trip up to visit Grammy and Pop with all the cousins together we took our "Beatles picture". We had been planning this picture, so all the kids had their Beatles shirts on.

11 grandkids, until October when #12 is born!

Fun stuff :)

Baby Dalia

We're finally home and getting settled in, so I thought I'd post some pictures of the last couple of weeks. We are, of course, loving Dalia and getting use to having a baby around again. She is really a good baby, she cries when she has something to cry about, but usually I can figure it out and she doesn't cry for long. She's sleeping better and better every night, waking a couple times to eat but going right back to sleep.

Baby Adalia

We have great news! We have brought Adalia Joelle home (sort of).

Some of you will remember that about 3 week ago we got a call that a baby girl had been born that morning, so we left the next morning to travel to TN to pick her up. However once we got there her birthmother decided to parent her, so we came back home.

On Tuesday I got a call from the Agency saying that this same baby was ready for us to come get her. She was brought to Utah (where the agency is) so I flew out Tuesday evening and got Dalia Wednesday morning.

Because everything happened so quickly, and baby was already waiting for us, I flew alone and Faron stayed home with the other kids.
Adoption paper work is a little crazy, and each state (that is involved) has to look at all the papers and make sure each state's laws have been fulfilled. So, while Dalia and I were in Utah we found out that because of the holiday weekend it was going to be Wednesday or later before everything went through, but Utah paper work was cleared, so I could leave Utah, but not yet enter our home state, so we found a place that wouldn't be too far for Faron and the kids to drive, but would keep us out of the state and I flew there.
We were supposed to be on a big family vacation this week with Grammy and Pop, Anna and kids and Gabe and Angie and kids, however that's in our state, so we haven't been able to join up yet. While Gabe's family is there though, they are letting us stay in their house, so we're chilling as a family of 8, waiting for paper work to finish up!

We walked over to a fun small town 4th of July Parade this morning, so here are a few pictures from that.
