Well, Valentine's day happened. I'm never really sure what to do with Vday, cause I don't want it to be another holiday where kids expect to get gifts. However, this year I really wanted to make these crowns, so I made them for Vday. Isabella told the other kids that Valentines gifts had to be hand made, so I decided to encourage that and hopefully remember it next year and just make that the standard.
The crowns were sewn with felt, and turned out super cute :)
I also ended up making super hero masks, cause, you know...

Ari's look says, "yes yes, take your picture so I can get back to my movie, and would some one please clean breakfast off my face?"

The big girls made gifts for everyone. This is the poem Isabella wrote for Papa.

Sophia made him a certificate for a night out together.

Sophia made Xander a scroll, he loves scrolls.

Sophia and Isabella both spent an afternoon in their room sewing something for me. I didn't know what they were doing, I just had to keep reloading thier needles with ribbons.
Sophia made this pillow.

and Isabella made this heart pin cushion. It says "I love you"

a horse for Isabella from Sophia

Isabella made Sophia a wand.

Isabella clothed this boy doll in a loin cloth so he could be Tarzan, complete with a vine to swing on.

Ari's flowers from Sophia.

It was a very crafty day and everybody was truly enjoying the handmade love from eachother. You never know if a 3 year old is going to show true thankfulness for a paper flower, or a 6 year old for a pipe cleaner creation, but they really got into it and had a great time. Here's to remembering this rule next year :)
