Ari and Xander

Ari and Xander are so cute together and love each other so much, I have lots of pictures of the two of them being sweet. The other day when we got home from the library they sat down and started looking at a book together while the girls were doing school.

They looked so sweet that I got my camera to take a few pictures.


Once they noticed me they started looking at me instead of their book. I told them to pretend like I wasn't there and I got this picture. Ari said, "but you are there Mama".
Eventually they went back to their book.
Kole was being cute over at the window, so I turned around to take a few pictures of him.
He likes looking out the window and seeing the dogs, and birds.

Soon I heard that the sweet book sharing was turning into a war of the wills. So I turned back to the cute twins who were each trying to rip the book out of the other's hands. I stopped them by saying, "hands in the air"
I decided to keep taking the pictures. Daily fights are just as common as daily fun, so we're keepin it real.
Hands in the air worked for a second, but since they saw me taking pictures, they jumped on the opportunity to keep up the fight.

eventually the fighting got old. One of the benefits of having many playmates in the house, just move on to someone else.






and peace reigns again :)

5 little monkeys

The kids are so excited that it's finally spring, beginning stages though it may be. Yesterday we were out playing and playing. I took a few pictures of all the monkeys in the tree. This is "the climbing tree" that they always like to be in.

Isabella and Xander are the climbers. Ari's starting to try, but she's pretty little still. Sophia wants too, but she has a very real understanding of the danger of plummeting to her demise, so she usually ends up just swinging from branches instead of climbing.


Ari was being a bear cub, I don't' remember why.
She's a cute little bear though.

The cutest thing I've made for a while

I took a little knitting break to get back into sewing, but sewing makes me have to be at a certain spot, so I started up a knitting project so I'd have something to do when I have to sit at the school table with the girls.
I've wanted to make this adorable topsy turvy doll ever since I saw the pattern a couple months ago, so I decided to go for it. It is so cute!
Here is one of the "sisters", Ari named her Hannah last night, but changed it to Rebekah this morning.

Ari brought me this baby yesterday, wrapped up sweetly in a blanket. While cradling it in her arms she explained to me, very seriously, that this baby had NO family, so he was going to come live with us and we are going to be his family.

I really don't talk to the kids about our plans to adopt, unless they ask me questions. Mostly because I don't what them to be impatiently waiting for it, as I am. We will talk about it a lot when it get's close to actually happening.
The big girls know we are going to adopt, but I don't' know if the little kids know that or not. It's amazing to me though, that they just naturally play games like that. It's obvious to them. This baby needs a home, let's be that home.

This and That

Just a few recent pictures for your viewing pleasure.
A few weeks ago we had our monthly WOW week at Church (WOW is With Out Walls, once a month we do some sort of outreach/community project for people outside the walls of the church) This month's project was making prayer bears that were then taken to a few local shelters to be given to kids living there. They were also given to the fire department and various other places.

The girls got to stuff the bears, write a prayer and put it inside, and then sew up the side of the bear. (the major sewing was already done, they just had to stitch up the whole that they put the stuffing into) Then we prayed for the kids who would receive the bear, and away it went to find a child in need.

I got to take some pictures for a friend recently and some of my kids couldn't stand the thought of my taking down all the equipment without taking their pictures too, so I took a few quick shots of them.
