Sophia's Birthday

Today Sophia turns 6 years old!
We waited and waited and waited for her, then she finally came, 12 days late via c-section.
Isabella had been waiting and waiting to meet her new baby and was thrilled, of course, when she turned out to be a girl!

And here she is now. Quite grown up!

Hazen Cousins

One day last week Ella and Lane came to play with us for a couple hours. Those were a couple of playing packed hours.

The girls played a board game while the younger kids were dressing up like super heros in the basement. Every couple minutes a hero/villain (some times it's hard to tell) came up to attack the girls, then they went back down to their own domain.


Pretty soon we moved the party outside. These girls are all very artistic, so we took some art supplies outside and they drew and cut and glued and glittered.


Kole was trying to see what all the fuss was about.

Once he figured out what the fuss was about he tried to get in on it, but he wasn't quite tall enough.


The boys did not join in the art making (because the kept getting shooed away) instead they climbed, jumped and explored.
The dog house is a very popular climbing toy.


And of course the tree.

The end of the Levi visit

Levi and Anna went home last weekend. We had a good time, the kids got to know eachother and play in typical kid fashion. Here are some more pictures of our final days.


We spent quite a bit of time climbing trees, and it ended up being the best way to try to get a picture of everybody together.
Here they are in Grammy and Pop's front yard. Too bad we didn't think to toss Kole into this picture.

Girls





One night (when Levi wasn't here) there was a really pretty sun set. The kids were out feeding the chickens with Faron and Sophia came in the house to ask if I would take a picture of her in front of the sun set.
So we did everybody.




Ever since I took some pregnant belly pictures for Anna, and had her make a heart on her belly with her hands, Xander has been obsessed with doing it on his stomach.

trying to get a family picture is a circus. And someone always has to make a goofy face.
