Today is the 12th, so it is once again time for 12 on 12. 12 pictures throughout the day of whatever comes along. So here's what our day looked like.
After breakfast, we got started on our project for the day. Thanks to this stage of pregnancy, we are doing some reorganizing :)
This is what the girls closet looks like on any given day. If you are a neat freak, you might want to look away, this could be too much for you.
The girls think that all clothing should go on the floor, even when the drawers are 2 seconds away. My ultimate goal is to have a lovely large laundry room/closet where all clothing will abide. In the mean time, the girls closet was evacuated today.
The dresser was moved downstairs into the laundry room, in the mean time Ari took her chance to play in the empty drawers.
by the end of the morning the closet looked like this. I think that we will move the girls desks and craft supplies into it and they can have their own craft room.
And the dresser moved into the laundry room. Now all the kids clothing, aside from hanging clothes, live in the laundry room.
With our project well under hand, we headed down to do our school work. Through the summer the girls have kept up their math and reading, a light load but better than a full load. :)

Today was also laundry day. This is what laundry looks like at our house. I take one or two days a week to do it all. I know many larger families who do several loads a day to keep ahead, but I really do prefer to fill a day with it rather than try to do it little by little.
Actually, that was only half the laundry, I didn't get finished because I had my scrapbooking night tonight so I had to take off early.
First I ran to get a canvas and more modpodge to finish a project I'm working on.
Then while I was at the scrapbooking store I used their Cricut (cutting machine) to cut a million and a half letters. It took at least half an hour, but it was still less time than cutting by hand!
Then I got to actually scrapbook! These are the pages I got done, well as done as I could get them at the store. I still have to embellish and journal, but it was a good start.
So, that was our day!
Ari likes the apple tree. She runs for it when we go outside now, so I have to keep her away from apples that have fallen off the tree.

Grandma made a superman cape for Alexander too, so he and Lane were "two supermans" and flew around for the rest of the afternoon.
Then there was the opening of presents with Grammy and Pop and Aunt Lora and Uncle Lou, who were also at the hotel.

Then we headed down to the pool, Gabe and the boys joined us there and the swimming began.

Gabe and the boys in the deep end. Isaiah and Nehemiah are completely independent once they get there floaties on. Alexander won't put floaties on, but after a while he jumped into the ring and then joined the boys. Before that he was walking on his tip toes in the 3 foot area, he could walk around and just barely keep his mouth above the water.
The hotel had the pool room painted really cutely.
Once the puppies got too rambunctious for inside, we took them outside to run.
This is what the used the pool for mostly. Running across the yard and then "diving" in. Surprisingly, no one got hurt and everyone had fun with it.
Nehemiah didn't run and jump, he would just step into the pool, then request the applause.

The morning was spent opening presents and playing and playing
Levi sent Alexander a fireman dress up set, which Alexander calls his "fire engine man". It was a huge hit. Isabella posed them all for this picture. At one point I heard them all playing fire engine man, which consisted of someone using the phone that came with the set and calling the fire fighters to come "start my house on fire" and then put it out :)
