Wall hangings

I have been having so much fun making these wall hangings for the girls room in the new house that I have to share them. They are all going to share a room, and it is adorable and pink, but Isabella and Sophia wanted to add a splash of "princess", so we did these.

This one is Isabella's. Isabella knows exactly what she wants at all times, so she helped me design every aspect of this canvas. We looked at all our options and she chose this layout, colors and placement.

























































Isabella has always said that she wants a rainbow in her room, so I made sure to add one to her picture.


















This one is Sophia's. Sophia's favorite color (in the whole white world) is purple (and pink and red, but really purple), so her sky is purple.
Sophia also got to help chose all of her things, but she gave me much more artistic license, she's not quite as opinionated :)












































I love this tree, it was fun. It was too free form for Isabella, she is a realist, but Sophia and I enjoyed it.



































And here is Arianna's. She is very un-opinionated so I got full creative license. Isabella and Sophia did throw their ideas in frequently though.

baby birds

In my parents back yard there is this bird nest. We happened to be up there to see the eggs, then a couple weeks later and the eggs had hatched.

It just keeps getting better

We drove out to the new house tonight, just did a driveby to show it to some friends. Then we went over to the state park that is a few blocks away and had a great time. They have this fun beach and the kids got to run around and go swimming. We did not plan for such a fun beach, so they swam in thier clothes and we returned home covered in water and sand, but they had a blast.

ALexander, Isabella and Sophia all had the best time crawling in the water on their hands with only thier little heads sticking out. Alexander didn't want to stay up in the really shallow part, as long as he had at least one nostril out of the water he was fine. He floated all over making his moter boat noises and blowing bubbles like Aunt Lora taught him.

All about Ar

Arianna turned 6 months this week, as you know, so I have some messy food eating pictures for you, and some crawling all over creation pictures!

I layed Ari down on our "Dora Couch" while I was getting everybody's shoes ready to go to the Library and when I turned back about 45 seconds later she was crawling over the top/back of the thing. She didn't actually go over, she climbed back down like a sensible girl.































Ari got a piece of broccoli to gnaw on while the rest of us were eating dinner last night, it was not intended for her to eat, just to chew on, so it was raw. She had fun with it and got lots of little pieces all over her.





















This is our little mesh food dispenser thing that has been such a hit with all the kids. Arianna has a banana in hers. She very much enjoyed it, and got to be a very big mess. She was squishing banana goo all over the place, including her hair.









































And then she went to the bath. Arianna seems to like a bath the way Sophia did, striaght in the water. She will have nothing to do with a bath chair, she just tries to climb out or flip the thing over. She wants in the water!

Workin like a dog

We spent a lot of time outside this weekend sweating in the heat! We have had these two big old piles of wood chips in our yard since last summer when we had some trees cut down and this weekend we moved them!
Last weekend Faron got the "pool" (read: trash pit) cleaned out so the pile in the back went to fill in the pool shaped indentation. Then we moved most of the pile in the front to refill our walk way and front landscaping.
That was some hard work let me tell you. I'm not much for heat, but we were able to get it all done, and even got the kids to help us, thanks to some cute shovels and a wagon from an early morning trip to target.

Unfortunately I didn't bring the camera out until we were about half done...















The kids were taking a little break, eating grapes and reading a book. Isabella, with a hand full of grapes says, "good Job Papa, that's hard work" and "the quicker you get that done the quicker we can get into the pool"











































They did help out for about an hour, which was longer than I expected them to be able to stick with it. It was a "fun" family project!















Then we got out the new pool (also thanks to that trip to Target) and they swam while we finished up.

























Ari and I joined them in the pool before we all came in to collapse into a nap!

6 Months, and the return of two sprouts

Arianna is 6 months old now, and has a new hair style (new for her, though sisters before her have also sported it)

Spray park

We went to the spray park in Liberty Monday. The girls had a lot of fun running through the water, though it was fairly chlorine-y so they kept coming out to wipe their eyes. Alexander didn't want to get in, but he did have fun watching. He stuck by this green pole thing, which he was pretty sure was the orb of power. It actually is, though how he knows this is beyond me. It is a motion sensor, so that if there are no kids, there is no water, but the water also alternates from one sprayer to the other, so whenever the big row of sprays would go off, he would run over and hit his hand on the sensor screen, to turn it back on!
