Christmas Eve

Before this picture gets burried under all the other Christmas happenings, here it is. Our first annual camp out under the Christmas tree night. We did it last weekend and the kids thought it was great. We watched It's a Wonderful life by Christmas light, then slept on the floor under the tree (well, I slept in my bed, but some people stayed on the floor)


We had a lovely Christmas Eve at Grammy and Pop's house with the Buckners. It ended fairly abruptly after lunch when the ice started falling outside and we did a quick pack up and get out before the weather gets too bad to drive. But it was nice while it lasted :)

Here's Sophia reading a Christmas verse. We try to read a verse before each present gets opened. That doesn't really happen, but since we're trying we get some read.

In our quest to try to keep Christmas from turning into a greed/selfishness fest, this year I tried to get the kids really hyped up about the presents they were going to GIVE to people. We made things whenever we could, and the kids shopped for other presents.
Ari and Xander were eager for Grammy to open the gift they made.
Here are the girls, equally excited as Grammy opens their gift.
Xander is being a supportive big brother and sharing in Ari's glee, even tough the present was princess barbies. Very exciting to Ari and Xander was able to be excited for her excitement.
The girls all got matching Christmas dresses, and each of thier dresses came with a matching dress for their baby dolls!

The boys all got flashlights, and boy oh boy were they happy about it!


Xander's treasure box, quite a score especially filled with candy, but if you dug past the candy you found the real treasure, the bottom was lined with COINS! He's in heaven.

Pop got a Garmin :)

The Buckner boys had a very musical Christmas, all instruments for Christmas. Xander really enjoyed this guitar they got.

The went off to the kitchen to Jam, so I snuck in there to get a picture of their first band.
Ari was trying on Grammy's new hat. Grammy got millions of presents this year, so Ari was sharing.
