Renaissance festival

We got to go to the Renaissance festival this weekend, it was a nice weekend for it, cool but not cold and no rain!
The kids had lots of fun, one of their favorite parts was the petting zoo.Kole wasn't so sure at first but liked it after a while. It was funny that he was more afraid of the goats than of the Llamas that were so much bigger than him.

the picture scenes are always a big hit. Xander-hood and Maid Sophia

There were some pieces of armor that the kids got to touch and try on. This helmet was sooo heavy I wouldn't even try to put it on him, Papa had to do it.

Trying on some princess hats in one of the shops

One thing the kids remembered from last year was that there is this shop with a bubble machine on the roof and bubbles fly all day long.
This toy helmet was easier to try on
watching the joust. This year we got to go up and pet the horses after the joust, which of course was another of the kids favorite parts.

Lots o fun

Looks like a lot of fun for all there. Fun pictures. The helmet looked to be pretty heavy, how did Alexander manage to keep his head up? What fun you must have had.

I've never been to a Renissance festival. Looks fun. I can see why Kola doesn't like the goats. They have those scary horn things.
Those were some great princess head pieces the girls tried on.
Oh and love all the frogs.
