Washington Trip part 3

Our trip to Washington draws to a close. Though our trip was prompted because of Ally (and Lenny)'s wedding, one of the best parts was getting to spend so much time with Anna's family. That doesn't happen often, and never before on their turf.
So, we spent some time the morning of the wedding hanging out in the hotel room.
Cousins coloring.

We went out for lunch, all of us, Grammy and Pop, Aunt Lora and Uncle Lou. Table for 14?

And this was when the fun started to unravel. You can see Anna in the background not feeling well, and before we left the restaurant it was obvious Levi wasn't feeling well either.

Xan and Ari practicing up on their wedding roles, while Levi rests up in Grammy's room, hoping to still be a ring bearer.

The girls were the gift attendants. They had a lot of fun, I wasn't sure if their shyness would overshadow the experience, but they role played at the rehearsal with Grammy and the Aunts so the were ready. Isabella told me that they got lots of positive comments and "old ladies kept walking by saying that they looked nice"

Couple of dapper gents hanging out waiting for the action to start.

Unfortunately Levi didn't make it to the rings, he was busy being sick! Xan and Ari had to go it alone.
(thanks for the picture Aunt Mimi)

And Grammy had to jump in at the last second (literally) and do Anna's reading.

Next we headed over to the hotel for a super fun reception.

The dancing was a huge highlight of the trip for the kids! And they did lots of it!

Ari conked out pretty early though. The next morning she absolutely refused to believe the girls when they told her she fell asleep and missed out on a lot of dancing. She argued and argued until she saw this picture.

Xander had to work up some nerve to get out there on the floor but he was really glad once he did.
The big girls danced and danced. They loved the Cha Cha slide!

Kole danced a ton too, and he loved the lights on the dance floor, which you can see in his hair.

Ari stayed sound asleep through all the dancing, the ride home, and even slept in her flower girl dress.

The next morning it was time to pack up and head home. We were heading home the same time as Grammy and Pop, so I got tickets on their flight and we all flew together.

Fun times in Washington!

Beautiful girls and your right, dapper men. I am so happy all went well for the wedding ( with the exception of Anna and Levi getting sick. Must have pooped Ari out. Good looking bunch of people.

I'm still pretty bummed about missing all that. Levi and Gracie both would have LOVED dancing with all the cousins. I'm glad you had our own little camera. I felt bad that my camera wasn't there for all the dressy moments. It was a good trip though. Next time your trip has to be all about us. ;)
