The ferry is one of the highlights of the trip for the kids, they wish it had lasted longer.
We drove the cars on to the ferry (and everyone decided the ferry really should have wings and a wand like a real fairy) then we got out and went to an observation deck and ate our lunches while looking out at the water.
After the Ferry trip we went to a pre-wedding gathering at a beach house Aunt Martha had arranged.
It was loads of fun, we got to see the water at high and low tide, the kids collected shells and foliage, and had lots of play time.
The stairs were a surprising hit.
Looking at the ocean from the second story window.
I think Kole was being a puppy, he looks like a wild man.

Checking out their shells with Aunt Marilyn
Kole down at the water. It was a little chilly, but pretty.
Anna snapped a family photo for us.
Aunt Marilyn took another family pic for us.
After the beach house we headed to our hotel and then stopped for some wood fired pizza. Kole's still talking about the "fire pizza"

I'm glad the ferry was one of your kids' favorite parts. Next time any of you make it out here we should walk on that ferry, do fun stuff across the water at that cute little town, Port Townsend for the day, and then ride the ferry back to Whidbey.
I thought you guys got some good family photos. I like that Isabella is holding wild flower in the one Aunt Marilyn took.
