Today was a rainy day, and it has become a bit of a tradition for the kids to go paint on the covered deck on rainy days, so this is how the morning started out.
One of Isabella's paintings.
This is Arianna with 3 shirts on. She has recently started putting on any clothes that she finds laying around, so this was her regular shirt, plus two that she put on kind of like belts.
While the kids were cleaning the living room Alexander got assigned the task of putting away shoes. Shoes have always been an issue around here, where to keep them and not have them take over the world. If everybody leaves their shoes by the door, that means 12 shoes by the door all the time, that's if there is only one pair for each person, which is rarley the case. So our latest solution is this little book shelf, the shoes can go on the shelves and it's at least a little neater. The problem is that at least one time a day Ari likes to pull the shelves off, and take off with the little metal shelf holder piece things. So the shoes are normally dumped on the floor anyway. So...when Alexander is supposed to pick up the shoes, instead of fixing the shelves, he just piles everything on one, and then it's done.
The dinner plates..
We found an apple tree we didn't know we had. Sophia spoted it last week while she was riding in the trailer when Faron was mowing. It's right out in front of the house and it bloomed very prettily in the spring, but I assumed it was something ornamental, not so, we've got apples!
Riding bikes. Alexander has apparently had a growth spurt recently, because he can now reach the pedals on his "big bike that Uncle Lou bought me" which is it's full and proper name.So Ari decided that this means that she can now ride his little bike. She can't reach the pedals well enough to push them, but she puts her foot on the and tries!
Searching for rolly pollies. Alexander captured a good many rolly pollies tonight, and locked them up in a garden candle holder. He's quite sure they can never get out.
Xander, Ari and Sophia found a frog!
Pretty flowers, no idea what they are.
Helping Papa weed.
Beauty, with dirt on her face.
Bath time.
Alexander and Ari playing "pocket round the rosies all fall down"
So there you go, a glimps into the highlighes of one day.

What a cool challenge!
Like the painting tradition! You lucky apple tree finder--those look like Jonathans! I think your flower is a gladiolia, lucky again! Love the various Ari shots. She's the cat's pajamas. Cool how she shadows Xander. What a nice day was had by all.
What fun. Good painting hobby and will keep them busy for many hours, but the looks of Ari's face, full too.
Grandma h shared this with me so I could keep up with the family. The flowers, btw, are gladiolas.

Ari seems to have nice full lips. Always an envy of mine.
Maybe I'll do that next month on the 12th
